Receiving Your Spiritual Language through Holy Spirit Baptism

“My understanding as a new believer was to “seek” the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit would take over my mouth.  In order to experience the glorious presence of the Lord with signs and wonders, I was told to cultivate over time an intimate friendship with the Spirit of God. Every friendship has a starting point, however, and I believe friendship with the Holy Spirit begins with the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We read in the Bible how this experience is necessary for us to walk in the power of the Spirit.  Biblical promises on Baptism of Water & Baptism of the Holy Spirit: first, John the Baptist said, “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Matthew 3:11). Later, Jesus said, “For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit… You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you” (Acts 1:5)

The Bible Illustrates clearly when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, He gifts you with a supernatural language. This is the sure sign that you have received the promise of the Spirit. See       Acts 2:1-4: ‘When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”  While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. (10:44-46)  A third verse in Acts illustrates a direct connection between tongues and Spirit baptism: “When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied” (9:6).

Other passages in the New Testament reveal the same truth, only indirectly. Read Acts 8, the apostles in Jerusalem had heard the there were disciples being made in Samaria. Keep in mind that these were new believers in Jesus who had only been water baptized. The apostles traveled to Samaria and prayed for the new believers to received the Holy Spirit “because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. The Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit” (v 16-17). There had to have been some kind of evidence or sign to prove that they had received. The biblical account does not say directly that the new believers spoke in tongues, but something took place that was so obvious that Simon Maga offered the apostles money to give him the ability to lay hands on people to receive the Holy Spirit, too. Simon’s offer was met with a swift and stern rebuke by the apostle Peter, who said, “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!” (v. 8:20)

The apostle Paul powerfully converted to Christianity, having been confronted by Jesus Himself on the road to Damascus. What is interesting is he was not baptized with the Holy Spirit upon his dramatic conversion, but received a few days later when Ananias visited him and laid hands on him specifically to be filled with the Holy Spirit (see Acts 9:17). Again, the biblical account does not directly say that Paul spoke in tongues upon his infilling, but we know he must have because later he gave testimony to the Corinthians, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you” (1 Corinthians 14:18).

Some Believers receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit in different ways. Some receive spontaneously and sovereignly without trying, others have hands laid on them to receive, and then others press into the blessing on their own and receive that way. There is no right or wrong way or even a right or wrong place to receive your heavenly language, just the promise that you will. If you, or someone you know, need to receive your supernatural language, here are some steps to help:

1. Believe in Jesus……Sometimes people try to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but they have not yet given their life to Christ. They do not receive Him because they have not met the internal conditions to do so. You have to be born again to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but once you are, you do not have to wait to receive your prayer language either. You have the capacity right then and there to speak in other tongues.

2. Ask for it…….We see from the written word that we are encouraged to ask for the Holy Spirit. There is no qualifier for asking either, except that you be born again. You do not have to be perfect. You do not have to have your life cleaned up. As eager as you are to receive, He is even more excited to gift you with your spiritual language. As a son or daughter of God, you do not need to beg either. Simply ask in faith and be ready to receive His glorious promise……..“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and ti the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Luke 11:9-10

3. Know that you will not receive something evil on accident……Some people resist seeking the baptism of the Spirit because they fear they might receive a demon instead of the Holy Spirit. I can understand how some might think this way not yet knowing what to expect if they open themselves up to a spiritual experience. I want to assure you, however, that if you ask for the promise of the Spirit, then you will only receive the Holy Spirit, according to Jesus’ words in Luke 11:11-13: “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or, if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

4. Speak in other tongues……As I researched how other ministries teach on this subject, many propose that once you have asked for the Holy Spirit then you have automatically received the baptism and should be able to speak by faith in tongues right then and there in almost robotic fashion. Their approach to receiving the promise of the Spirit is based more in our legal and covenantal rights with God, while neglecting to mention the deeper relational components of the experience. Corey Russell, a senior leader at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, write that speaking in tongues is a summons to experience the power of a Person – the Holy Spirit. And Jesus refers to it as the “promise of the Father” (Acts 1:4 KJV) because it is deeply based in His Sonship.

Stepping into a new spiritual experience that is firmly grounded in relationship makes surrender much easier. When you ask the Father for the Holy Spirit, you then surrender your whole self, meaning your spirit man, your breath, your physical tongue, to allow Him to immerse you with His power until a glorious spirit language begins to flow from your innermost being.

Many people say their prayer language began with just one word or one syllable, and they spoke that out over and over until it developed into more sounds and even more words. Others have expressed that their spiritual language sounded like babbling at first, much like how a baby would sound, but it evolved over time into a more distinct language.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit does not force you to speak in tongues. Instead, you give breath to the words that either bubble up or flow out from your spirit as you feel the infilling of His power. These are unpremeditated words that you speak out. They flow like a river from the inside of you, and once you have received your language, you do not lose it either.   As you engage in this gift daily and it develops in you, there emerges a beautiful communion of words sealed in heavenly mystery between you and the Spirit of glory. This togetherness of words becomes the gateway to His manifest presence being seen through signs and wonders, wonders that all communicate He has come to dwell with us.

Receive it, beloved, and bind it to your soul!”

Did You Learn To Love? The War Against Love

Beloved, there is a War Against Love ongoing  in our midst!” I recalled these famous words from the late grandpa Prophet Bob Jones my mentor said: “Did you learn to love?” When he died and the Lord send him back to inform us all that “Agape Love” is the only key to bring more souls to God’s kingdom in the end times. It’s the key to the Christian life, but do we recognize the subtle ways our love gets disabled? Do we recognize when our lives are contrary to the law of love?

Beloved, we are about to embark on the most exciting time of our lives and the most brutal time of our lives. Can we rise to the occasion with the love necessary to change the atmosphere of our circumstances? I believe we can, but that we must start now with a Plan and a Promise.

1. The Plan …,,,”Let’s determine to spread the law of love like a never-ending stream with every thought and every action, toward everyone we meet, including those who wrong us.” One of the ways we can prepare our hearts for the days ahead is to do a checklist of our arsenal for the coming war. In order to be a good soldier, you have to understand all the aspects of the armor. Most people think of self-protection when they think of armor, but if we take a closer look, we find out it’s also protection against our own potential violation of the law of love.

“The Armor of God”…Ephesians 6:10-17 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power [strong in Him, strong in His ways and in His love]. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes [game plans, plots]. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [each other, or the one who hurt you], but against the rulers, against the authorities, the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth [accuracy and facts about everything, including offenses] buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness [law-abiding, blamelessness] in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel [Good News] of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one [his temptation to not follow the guidelines of the Word]. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God [find out what it says to do about the disagreements we have with each other].”

2. “The Promise”..,.,We all know very well that our most important weapon is love, but do we hold ourselves closely to that guideline or are there times we ignore it because we’re angry, and feel justified in laying love aside for a moment?  2 Corinthians 10:4, “We use God’s mighty weapons [the law of love], not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.”  2 Corinthians10:5, “Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”

“The Accuser of the Brethren” is one of our biggest and most hidden challenges. We are so focused on the obvious evils in society, that often we allow the accuser to slip in so easily and sway our thoughts about each other. We get caught up in the offense of the moment and then our spiritual sight and understanding are darkened to the guidelines we think we know so well.

1 Pet. 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour [feast on or demolish].”  2 Corinthians 2:11, “Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices [tricks]” (emphasis mine). Aren’t we ignorant to satan’s tricks when he is successful in getting us to turn on each other?

Slander is a tool of the accuser of the Brethren (see Rev. 12:10). The word “slanderer” in 1 Timothy 3:11 is the same word for “devil.” When we slander someone, we are acting like satan does. We are mirroring his character. How can we think we can have intimacy with the Lord when, at the same time, we are going against His Word, when we refuse to go to our brother or sister who has wronged us or who we have heard has wronged us?

Ps. 101:5 (NKJV), “Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy…”

1 Cor. 13:7-8 says that love believes the best in all, its kind and it never fails. 1 Cor. 13:7 (The Contemporary English Version) says: “Love is always supportive, loyal…”

5. Honoring Our Father in Front of the World

“Most people think of self-protection when they think of armor, but if we take a closer look, we find out it’s also protection against our own potential violation of the law of love.”

Lk. 6:27 (NKJV), “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.”

Jhn. 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”  Matt. 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”  1 Pet. 4:8, “And above all things have fervent love [intense, passionate, committed] for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins.'”

When we are offended or hear slander about someone, do we follow Scripture or just believe it because it sounds believable? One side sounds right until you hear the other side (see Prov. 18:17). The laws of our land follow the principle of “innocent until proven guilty.” It is a legal concept which guarantees that the guilt of an accused person cannot be presumed. Do we practice this? Do we think it’s optional?  Matt. 18:15, “If your brother or sister sins, go to THEM and talk it out, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over” (emphasis mine). This is the protocol that will cause us to win the war against love. We are stronger together and in the coming days we will have to learn how to stand together, no matter how hard it may be at times. We must stand as good soldiers of the Cross and follow the manual, the marching orders of our King, or we won’t win the battle. We will either win it together or not at all.

I had gone through some hurtful things of my life in the past, but I pursued reconciliation, not once, but for a couple of weeks. Finally, I won my friend back. In the end, she said it had nothing to do with me and that I had not done anything wrong. I will never be sorry I made the extra effort.  I know there are times when we do all the right things and yet, we can’t win the offended party, but we still have an obligation to our Lord to do everything in our power to mend the relationship. Rom. 12:18, “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live at peace with all men.”

How does the Lord feel about our offenses between each other? Ps. 133:1, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Aren’t we members of one Body? What happens to you, affects me. Do we really understand the depth of this? How can we choose to turn on a part of our own body? It’s like harming or cutting off a part of ourselves. 1 Cor. 1:10, “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.”

Yes, people fail us; they make big mistakes. WE make big mistakes too! So let’s give one another the same grace we would like to receive when we fail our brothers and sisters. Only then will we be strong enough to stand against the onslaught of the enemy that is coming and increasing from now until long after the next election. I’ve seen enough hate to last the rest of my life, how about you? Let’s determine to spread the law of love like a never-ending stream with every thought and every action, toward everyone we meet, including those who wrong us. It’s the only way we’re going to win the world, but it’s also the only way we’re going to survive as a nation and as the Church of Jesus Christ in the continuing war against love!

Whole Heart Commitment

God is looking for our whole-heart commitment to Him. But that commitment also extends into how we live. When we make commitments it is extremely important that we keep them. We live in a world of broken covenants and commitments. This is a major component that fosters dysfunctional lives. Come hell or high water we need to learn to keep the commitments that we make.  It can be sacrificial.  What if Jesus had got to a point before the cross and just said He was “not in the mood?” It is not the thought that counts – it is the follow through!   Jesus said to be perfect as He is perfect. That does not mean we are going to be perfect – but it does mean we are going to be faithful and do everything we can in our power to keep our word.  God is only as good as His promises to us. A person is only as good as his word. How do you feel when someone breaks a commitment to you?  Does that make you feel good?  Now put the shoe on your foot and think about how others feel when you don’t keep your word.  We reap what we sow.  What you do will come back to you eventually.

Look at the life of David.  He blew it by committing adultery. He had to suffer the rebellion of his son Absalom, leave the kingdom to him and then wander around until God brought His merciful justice into the situation. There are repercussions for bad decisions. Some commitments are bigger than others. But whether big or small they all represent the character of a person or the lack of it. Every person has a foundation grid to how they operate in their life.  This is one of those foundation stones that if removed will cause serious problems. This can be one that if missing can affect the measure of God’s blessings on a life. Take your commitments seriously because it is better not to make one than to break one. Making the right commitments will lead to a life of blessing and overflow. Ask God to give you wisdom to choose your commitments and grace to keep them every day.

Prophetically decree and declare magnificent O’ God arise and show yourself mighty in the lives of your people. The God of Jabez shall arise and change your whole story. Be Encourage My Beloved To Stay In The Race

The Spirit of the Lord impress upon my heart while ministering to me with his presence as the Holy Spirit infill me with the Joy of the Lord. The Spirit revealing His desire in my heart to encourage the saints of God going through the wine press or storms of life to be “Encouraged to stay in the race!”  Many leaders and believers tend to always give out spiritually and pour out to the people God thus leaving them at times, feeling spiritually drained and over worked. Sometimes it can even feel like you are getting nothing in return, making you to believe and feel that your labor is in VAIN! This is an attack of the enemy to play on our emotions in order to get us to burn out and eventually QUIT! Just like a normal job you need a BREAK!

Remember many  ministries that operate in deliverance are under demonic surveillance from critics and haters and this is pulling on their spiritual strength & growth. So we tend to get weary in well doing. God says today, that your labor isn’t in vain. As you begin to drink from the well of LIVING  WATER (GOD’S WORD) he says he shall revive you, replenish you and establish your going. Psalm 40:2 “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”  We must endured these trials in our life, yet we  are still pressing by the GRACE OF GOD. God is proud of his people who are holding fast to their faith and his promises, for many have fallen away. Keep the faith and endure hardship as a good soldier, says the Lord!

I prophecy in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you will continue to LIVE and not Die and declare the works of the Lord. You will be like a tree planted that can’t be moved. You will standstill and see the SALVATION of the LORD. God is restoring and pouring into his faithful people, continue to drink his everlasting water. Matthew 5: 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Saints be aware this day, that the Joy of the Lord is your strength and as you continue to worship, commit and submit God is pouring more and more Love and Joy upon you. Your cup will run over and goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your Life. You shall run and not faint and God is renewing your strength even now!

Yes, Beloved saints of God, many ministers and Believers again, I declare that your LABOR isn’t in Vain. You shall REAP the Harvest you poured out, if you do not faint! Your latter rain shall be GREATER says the LORD!! Look to the hills which comes your help, know from this day, that your help comes from GOD. Know that God is renewing your strength because your hope is in the LORD! Stay in the race, because God is with you. May his LIVING Word comfort you until the day of Jesus Christ!  Isaiah 4:31 “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

Keys To Open Doors In The Kingdom of God

Decrees are always “Keys” to open doors in the Kingdom. By focusing and praying through these Scriptures mention below. I believe angelic gateways will be opened before you. Bible tells us to ask when we have a need, to continually seek God’s face, and knock on doors of gifting and opportunities  Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened”  Isaiah 22:22 NKJV “The key of the house of David I will lay on His shoulder; so He shall open, and no one shall shut; and He shall shut, and no one shall open.”

The spiritual keys to open doors of access to the Kingdom of God, its ownership and God-given authority, rest upon our shoulders. When we are faithful with the keys of responsibility we have been given, it is appropriate to ask God for more power and authority. If we are faithful with the little, He will make us rulers over much. New keys to different realms of understanding are granted when we utilize the keys of prayer and Scriptural declaration that we have already been given. The Word of God tests and tries us until we learn to trust God’s power in our life. As a prophetic act take the keys off your shoulder as you enter into prayer. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to Scriptures that will unseal and loose areas in your life that have been locked or hidden away. Let the light of God penetrate every fiber of your being. Now, boldly pray Scriptures that unlock spiritual doors of opportunity and decree specific verses that release godly wisdom and prospects in the natural realms that no man can shut.

Keys are obtained through Christ with “Power and Authority.” We have been given keys that help us learn to live a prosperous life and advance the Kingdom of God. Jesus commended Peter when His Father gave Peter a foundational key to the revelation knowledge of Jesus’ true identity as “God the Father in heaven reveals it Himself”.  Matthew 16:18 NKJV  “Jesus came back, ‘God bless you, Simon, son of Jonah! You didn’t get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in Heaven, God Himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am. And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together My Church, a Church so l expansive with energy that not even the gates of Hell will be able to keep it out.'”

These Keys represent the “power and authority of ownership”. As joint heirs of Christ and ambassadors of God, we are authorized to decree the Kingdom of Heaven will come and manifest on the earth. Matthew 16:19 NKJV  “And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven”  Jesus Christ died on the Cross to become the first born of many brethren that would continue to come to reconnect the gateways or portal between Heaven and earth. Jesus became the ladder or door that connected the Father, angels and the Holy Spirit to the world.  Romans 8:29 NKJV  “For those whom He foreknew (and loved and chose beforehand), He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son (and ultimately share in His complete sanctification), so that He would be the firstborn (the most beloved and honored) among many Believers”

Upon Christ’s resurrection and ascension Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Father having completed His work on earth. God establishes the works of His hands through the works of our hands so His glory will rise upon our children and us. It is time to stop being locked in our humanity and start functioning in the image of Christ. When we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, He is the door that gives true Believers access to our Heavenly Father. God has built and fitly framed a door of a holy temple to raise us up, to sit together with Christ Jesus in heavenly places, and to be a habitation of God through the Spirit. (Ephesians 2).

Supernatural Gifts are Release as We are Born Again!  Everyone is given both physical and spiritual gifts and talents, but not everybody discovers or develops their God-given abilities. God’s apostles and prophets, through the laying on of their hands, can release and join their faith to anointed prayers to impart supernatural gifts and anointing to individuals.  Romans 1:11-12 NKJV  “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established, that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.”  These gifts are ignited when we are born again into the Spirit of God and increase when we are continually being filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 90:16-17 NKJV  “Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands”  As children of God, we have received the power of resurrection life, not a spirit for fear or timidity. We should manifest a childlike expectancy because the Spirit of God that dwells within us reveals our true identity in Christ  Romans 8:17 NKJV  If we are children of God then we have an incredible inheritance and authority as joint heirs with Christ. When we suffer with Christ, we will also be glorified together with Him, to manifest His heavenly Kingdom here on earth. We access God’s unlimited power through His name and favor when we are seated to administrate and rule as His Bride from a place of rest in the heavenly throne room.

Keys for New Wine and for the Wilderness:

The measure of the new wine we are able to access, carry and release, depends upon the degree to which we have submitted ourselves to the transformation of our character by the renewing of our minds through Scripture. The new wine must be carried in new flexible Spirit-filled vessels otherwise the vessel will tear and the wine will be lost.  Matthew 9:17 NKJV “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; else the bottles break, and the wine runs out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved”  The Bible says that when we are Believers, everything about us becomes new. We become new creatures in Christ Jesus.  2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV  “Therefore if any person is in-grafted in Christ the Messiah he becomes a new creation altogether; the old previous moral corruption and spiritual sin condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh, new person has come”

Great keys are gained in the wilderness. Wilderness is uncharted territory in between the earthly natural spheres of soulish response and the spiritually divine realms of wisdom that are not of this world. Wilderness is a time of exile where we experience an isolated place of godly focus that empowers us to be transformed into Christ’s image. Our brokenness enables us to respond in humility by submitting our will to God. The Word of God tests and tries us until we learn to trust God’s power in our life. Every time we overcome by agreeing with God’s process, we ascend into another dimension of faith to be rewarded with a greater level of revelation. We are continually evolving and ascending to a higher level of glory. The joy of the Lord strengthens us to possess the grandeur of the measure of promises God has for us.

These keys of authority empower us to press through mental strongholds and physical limitations in order to obtain wisdom to change. In the wilderness we are given the wisdom to know how to put to death our old ways and sin patterns.  “When we are faithful with the keys of responsibility we have been given it is appropriate to ask God for more power and authority.”  The wilderness is also a place where we celebrate angelic intervention and rejoice over the divine wisdom we have gained. We experience a spiritual transformation in the wilderness. We acquire the maturity, wisdom and knowledge that are required to become the Bride of Christ. Our total dependence upon Christ empowers us to trust Him to fulfill the promised destiny given to us by God.

How Angels Work with Us?  All of creation is called to bless the Lord for He is their Creator. Ask God to send the angels to minister understanding of how to use these spiritual keys and to release more keys. “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways. When they cast you down, and you say: Job 22:28-30 NKJV ‘Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person. He will even deliver one who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands”  When the hands that hold the keys to God’s Kingdom are pure they can unlock doors and opportunities beyond our wildest imaginations. The heavens are open and ready. Angels are looking for those who believe in Jesus and will use His name to execute and decree the Word of God. Revelation 3:7-8 NKJV  “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens. I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name”.

Angels are scribes that record our acts and conversations on earth. God has written a great destiny upon the DNA of each person’s soul.  Malachi 3:16 NKJV  “Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored His name”  Saints of God, the scribe angels that God has assigned to me have given me spiritual insights that have helped me write my revelatory books and develop the many prophetic resources I have acquired. Daniel 10:20-21 NKJV  “So the (the angel) said, ‘Do you know why I have come to you? Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come; but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth. No one supports me against them except Michael, your prince'”.

You must “Hunger and Thirst after God in righteousness”! We must hunger and thirst after righteousness; and seek God with our whole heart. Each of us is as close to and as intimate with God as we want to be. Building relationships takes a lot of dedicated time and diligent effort. By focusing our love and attention on God and continually walking close to Him, we empower the Holy Spirit to overshadow us, rest upon, indwell, and move in and through us. Remember the positive, God-filled conversations (words) we hold with others also sharpen us in the realm of the Spirit, so that doors are opened on our behalf, while negative, critical words close doors of opportunity or access and restrain the hands of angels who would otherwise be able to assist us. The choices we make on earth will determine how much destiny we walk in and realize.

How would you define a good friend?

Most of us would list qualities such as: Loyalty; Honesty; Loving-kindness; Responsibility & Care. The Bible says this…Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.”—Ecclesiastes 4:9-10.

Good friends pick you up when you fall; they do not tell you what you want to hear for personal gain (see 2 Timothy 4:3). They speak truth in love (see Ephesians 4:15). This kind of relationship is hard to find. Yet, we want these relationships in our lives because we know that we are made to be in fellowship with one another. But friendships can sometimes take an unexpected turn. They can become toxic. And if your heart is looking for true friendship, it can be blinded by the toxicity of a bad one.

Seven Signs You Have a Toxic Friendship:

1. You walk away from your friend feeling drained with no encouragement. When you are going through times of trial, you need a friend. But when you walk away feeling patronized, depressed, and discouraged, it is time to think seriously if this friend is lifting you up or pushing you down.

2.  You are continuously being led into temptations that go against God’s word. Unfortunately, this is incredibly common. If your friend is constantly gossiping, asking you to engage in behaviors you are not comfortable with—slandering, putting others down, and promoting selfishness—it is likely that he or she is toxic. If so, the malice will only continue, so it might be time to separate yourself from this person.

3. Your friend is jealous. The only jealousy that is righteous is God’s. When a friend is jealous, it is driven by fear, not adoration. A sure sign of jealousy is questioning not only where and how you spend your time, but also with whom you are spending it.

4. Your friend expects you to listen to him or her, but he or she doesn’t listen to you. This is a one-sided friendship. This friend is, unfortunately, only there to be served rather than to serve others. One way to identify this toxic behavior is if he or she is the one talking during every conversation you have. If every subject that you bring up is turned to focus back onto him or her, you could be in the presence of a toxic friend. Now, this is not to say that there are seasons of difficulties, and your friend (or you) needs a consistent confidant by his or her side. We are discussing a long-standing pattern of communication and a crafty way of controlling the conversation.

5. You find yourself putting on masks around your friend. If you come to realize you are working hard to give your friend the “right” impression and struggle to be yourself, especially if you have been “friends” for quite some time, this could be a sign of toxicity.

6. Your friend blames you instead of encouraging you during trying times. This can be a hard one to identify. This toxic behavior could be passive or aggressive. Pay attention to how you feel and ask the Spirit to reveal to you wisdom about the friendship. Remember, there is no condemnation in Christ, so the blaming behavior is from the enemy himself, and he might be using a friend to provoke the feeling of condemnation in you.

7. Your friend is only supportive when it benefits him or her. This is another hard-to-spot toxic behavior. If you find yourself walking away from your friend sometimes feeling supportive, and other times not, it is worthwhile to take a step back and ask the Spirit to show you what is really going on beneath the surface.

How You Respond to Toxic Friends?

First, if you were able to identify multiple signs listed above, we want to encourage you to stop and pray. Ask the Lord to start working on your heart in a direction that is healthy and honors Him.  “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”—James 1:5

Second, pray for your friend. The Bible instructs us to “love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us” (see Matthew 5:44). Our human nature tells us to fight back, often with words and slander. But this is not God’s instruction.

When we fight back with weapons of this world, it grieves the heart of God. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.”—Ephesians 4:30-31

Lastly, start to prayerfully consider wise counsel. We are not supposed to go through this life alone. And God wants us to seek His ways. He instructs us to stay in His Word, pray, and seek wise counsel so that His plans for our life are made clear…“Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.”—Proverbs 15:22  “He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.”—Proverbs 13:20   Without wise counsel, it is only a matter of time before the toxicity of others starts to permeate in your life.

Is It Time to Seek Wise Counsel? Sometimes, when we have been around toxic relationships for far too long, it is nearly impossible to see your way out. Toxic friendships are one of the enemy’s schemes to distract you and tear you down all at the same time. If you are battling depression, anxiety, doubt, fear, and unbelief, you need to seek wise counsel. Cut off the lies and embrace the truth.Sometimes in life, we are called to carry our friends, and at other times we need to be carried by them. Sometimes, with the lingering stigma of being in a bad place with my mental health, I found the right outside influence of connection was essential.

As for my experience, when I began to open up to my friends about my struggles with depression, it seemed like they either start edging me out or they ghost me immediately. When you get right down to it friends want fun friends, and depressed friends are not fun friends! I have had to be very selective in my choice of friends. So, with all this being said, I was afraid at first to ask for prayers from a complete stranger [1-on-1 prayer intercessor], but I was feeling desperate and beat up. I took a risk and reached out for Christian Healing Deliverance ministry and for prayer. I am glad I did take that risk. My prayer partner was so understanding, kind, and she didn’t pass judgment. She actually listened to me. There’s a difference between listening and hearing, and I felt relief from the torture of depression. I highly recommend to others who are struggling with any issues to do what I did, reach out and take the risk. The enemy wants us to sit in silence and be tortured by evil spirits.

What is Anointing? Is Anointing Differ From Spiritual Gifts and Callings?

Anointing is the unction of the Holy Spirit directing you into God’s will for your life in that moment, hour, or season. Anointing was there at one time does not mean it is there forever. There are special anointing that are there for certain things or specific seasons. Anointing are different from spiritual gifts and callings; anointing can come and go, but the gift and calling never leave you.The anointing can lift. The anointing can change. People can shift from an evangelistic anointing to pastoral anointing or from prophetic to apostolic anointing. It can move from one office to the next. It is like majoring in a specified degree in college with a minor in a different subject, yet both degrees work together for a specialized position or job, i.e. a tax-attorney is required to have a Law degree as well as their CPA. The same concept works in ministry. You can be called into one or more of the five-fold ascension gift ministries listed in Ephesians 4:11 “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.”

You can be anointed to be a prophet and certain gifts and callings will remain with you. Even Paul prophesied, but he was an apostle. Not all apostles prophesy yet the gift can be there. The gifts and callings are irrevocable, but the anointing can change. We often fail to recognize this or mistake the anointing for the gift or calling. The anointing is the unction or leading of the Holy Spirit. If you hear what you think to be an anointed message it is probably because you are being called into that type of calling or spiritual gift. People may still move in the same way they were moving yesterday, but there is no anointing in it. They realize that something is missing. They are not getting what they got before, because God has changed directions. They need to get under that anointed cloud, back under that pillar of fire and power so that they can find out what God wants to do through them. As anointing change, we must change, because that is where He, the Anointed One, is. The anointing comes from God. To be in the anointed place is to recognize that we need to be under the covering of His Spirit. If we are under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit then we will be in the perfect will of the Father.

Jesus is “The Anointed One.”  As Christians it is our life-long challenge to find out what we are anointed to do. The anointing we receive from the Holy Spirit is different than the calling of God. You see many men and women of God are called to preach or teach, but few receive the anointing to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is the gift of the Holy Spirit that establishes your ministry. Jesus said: “if the people do not see signs and wonders they will not believe” (John 4:48).  “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established” (Romans 1:11). When our Lord and Savior was appointed to read from the scriptures it was on this special Holy day He read what He had been called to do for all mankind. He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. Then He read the way it is recorded in the New Testament: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:16-19). Jesus knew what He was anointed to do and He fulfilled what His Father sent Him to accomplish.

When a prophetic word comes by a spoken word or through the written word or even on a billboard down the road it is anointed of God, impossible to miss. Jesus was called and anointed to put an end to the curse of the law of sin and death. This is the way it happens for most of us and when it does you’ll know without a doubt, for you will know that you know in your knower that God has an anointing for you. The anointing is the unction of the Holy Spirit directing you into God’s will for your life in that moment, hour, or season. There are times we need a new and fresh anointing to work in our lives, for the old no longer works. Unfortunately, too many people keep holding on to the old anointing and lose the fragrance that once brought God’s presence into their lives. If this ever happens to you, you will need to find His new anointing for you. You will be forced to find your anointing in order to move under the protection, the power and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Only then will you be able to accomplish the things God wants to accomplish through you.As long as you are doing what God has called you to do, there will be peace and harmony. You will be satisfied. Nobody will be able to touch you, and your emotions will all be intact.

2 Corinthians 2:14″…Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”  When God starts to move us in a certain way, we want to look at it and size it up. Is it comfortable? Is this something I want to do? Is this something that lines up with my dreams? Our dreams can become nightmares when we try to forge them into our lives when God has not called us to walk in them. There are a lot of people trying to live out their dreams, but what they are doing is living out their own humanistic carnal nature, absent of His anointing. They struggle through life, trusting their own reasoning and rejecting God’s revelation all the while claiming Romans 8:28, “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” The problem is they are not in His purpose; if they had the anointing from the Anointed One they would not be banging their head up against the wall, confused, broken and not understanding why God isn’t helping them. Believe me when I say His Kingdom is not like Burger King. You are not going to get it whatever way you want. You must pray to ask, Hear His voice and Obey exactly His pathway!

We need to seek God’s revelation for our lives. It does not matter if it doesn’t manifest the way we think it ought to or that the fruit doesn’t seem to be there. What is important is that we are doing God’s will, and that can only be accomplished by His anointing. Not everything that is drawing a crowd is anointed of God. For example, most people think that if they are rich God has blessed them and anointed them to prosper, but we know this is not true. You cannot measure your spirituality by how much money you have in the bank or even how poor you are. Wealth and popularity are not the measuring stick for God’s anointing. These are things of this world; his anointing will manifest in the supernatural. This is the way you know the anointing is present. People build lots of things that are not of God. We see this all over the place. People may like the character of an individual or their personality or looks. They may like the way they sing or speak or even the way they wear their hair. People are attracted to them because of the lust of the flesh and the pride of this life, but those born-again should not follow these worldly temptations. We cannot allow ourselves to be led by our flesh’s emotions; we must be led by the anointing that comes from the Holy Spirit.

1 John 2:16 states this truth: “For all that is in the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world.” Instead, we need to look at the anointing that rests upon the person. We have to ask ourselves if it is just entertainment or the anointing. It is sometimes hard to see the difference between being entertained and being taught something of value by the anointing of Christ. We need to know if it is our emotions that we are being moved by or if it is the Holy Spirit teaching us the ways and thoughts of God. The anointing teaches us all things, and it comes to us through the anointing that is given to men and women by the Holy Spirit. 1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him”.

It is in the anointing we will find our calling and gift in life not in the emotions of the “flash in the pan” hype of the worldly. Don’t be a copycats to copy what TV evangelists or prophets anointing but be yourself in great humility as Holy Spirit empowered and infused you with the holy unction anointing led by His Spirit! Hence let the Holy Spirit do His works in drawing the lost to salvation that these thirsty souls with great expectations be mightily touched! People who try to copy someone else’s anointing doesn’t fly as the work are preordained by the Holy Spirit to work. We need to find our own anointed message that God has put in our heart to share. There may be a likeness in the spirit of the same message others are preaching, but you still must have your own personal anointing that will touch those whom God has chosen.

In the charismatic circles, anointing are recognized in powerful healing ministries, in powerful preaching sermons and in the working of miracles, but there are also anointing in jobs. There are anointing in business. There are various anointing that help identify a person’s calling and gifting. The anointing is what equips us and empowers us to build God’s kingdom on earth. He is using this world as part of His manufacturing process; it is used as a symbol, a shadow of things to come. The most important thing is to find out what you are anointed to do, for when “you have anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things” (1 John 2:20).

Speak in Tongues to Be Spirit Filled?

Many teach that speaking in tongues is the evidence of being filled with The Holy Spirit. To support this view they refer to the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. The writer of Acts never calls tongues “the” outward sign of The baptism of The Spirit but there is no question that he accepts it as “a” confirmation that this spiritual event has taken place.  From the words of Peter in Acts 2:17 we understand the prophet Joel to say that the outpouring of the Spirit would be accompanied by daughters prophesying, young men seeing visions and old men dreaming dreams.  While admitting that I don’t know how to dream anything other than a dream I feel safe in saying that the case for the things mentioned in verse 17 being evidence of the Holy Spirit is stronger than the case for tongues.  Peter goes on to say in verse 18 “And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:” Should we require the gift of prophecy as evidence of the Baptism?

Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 12 not to be ignorant concerning spiritual gifts. He then proceeds to teach us that the gifts are diverse and not all Spirit filled people operate in the same gifts.  Tongues and the interpretation of tongues are among those the listed in 1 Corinthians 12 and Paul did not take this occasion to mention that any were the prevailing evidence of being filled with the Spirit. Rather, as he taught that all who are filled have at least one supernatural gift, this empowering in any of its expressions could be said to be proof of the baptism. Not all Spirit filled Christians operate in their appointed gift or gifts. While this may convict them in the minds of others this is not evidence that they have not been filled with the Holy Spirit. This action is subject to the dictates of each human soul and not necessarily a reflection of an absence of the baptism.

Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14 :5 ” I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophecy than he that speaks with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.” In this verse we hear Paul’s desire but not his requirement to speak in tongues. He does highly recommend it especially in the area of prayer in verses 15-18 writing “What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupied the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understand not what thou says? For thou verily gives thanks well, but the other is not edified.  Paul places his high stamp of approval on tongues with the words “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:” Yet for all that he makes no mention of evidence for the filling of the Holy Spirit.

I believe I stand in agreement with Paul when I say of speaking in tongues “Must we? No.” “Should we? Yes.” But we must keep in mind that the ability of Spirit filled people to pray outside the scope of their understanding is not necessarily operating in the gift of tongues that requires interpretation. One of the most profound reasons to pray with the spirit is that Apostle Paul says this is a blessing to the Lord in 1 Corinthians 14:16, writing ” Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit,…”.  It makes God happy when we pray with the spirit. Praying with the spirit is when the human spirit is directed by either the Holy Spirit or possibly angels what to say in a heavenly language not known by the supplicant.  David said “I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise will continually be in my mouth. When we pray with the spirit we are praising the Lord with perfectly formed words from heaven.
